This week in Spanish Class: 10/26 to 10/30



Its my BIRTHDAY WEEK!



Monday: All classes- Multiple Intelligence Test. Give students their rubrics and explain in detail Fashion Show Project. Students will receive a brainstorming sheet to help them think of ideas and delegate tasks for their group project. Begin working in groups on Fashion Show project.


Tuesday- Friday: Work on Fashion show projects in groups.

Monday:
1,6,8- review articles with students. Review homework pages 19-24. Page 59-61 activities 10-14.
7- Vocabulary quiz.

Tuesday:
1,6,8- Articles quiz
7- go over pages 23 and 24. pages 59-61 activities 10-14.


Wednesday-
1,6,8- Power Point and reading, día de los muertos. Skeletons, word search, coloring pages.

7- Articles quiz

Thursday: Wildcat day

Friday:
1,6,8- show/read how to create papel picado. Pass out tissue paper.

7- power point and reading of day of the dead. Tissue paper for papel de picado.

Lesson Plans for the week of: 10/12/09 to 10/16/09


Monday:
1,6,8- Introduction to articles. Articles Power Point. Articles song.
7- Review clothing and colors. Students will play the “stand up” game. The teacher will call out a word from the new vocabulary, and the students will have to stand if it is describing them. 7- Pages 50-53 in the text book. Page 55 activities 4 and 5. Pages 19 and 20 in purple book.

Tuesday:
1,6,8- review article with song. Pages 56-57. Activities 6 and 7Review work from Homework and textbook. 7- Review descriptions and vocabulary with students. Celebrity description pictures.
7- Summarizing activity. Group the vocabulary words. Little person.

Wednesday:
Warm-up: Grab a tengo board and fill it out using vocabulary.
Student centered- Tengo vocabulary and article review.

Thursday:
1,6,8- use Tuesday night’s homework to write down a description for each person. Read the descriptions out loud and students will guess who it is. pages 59 and 60 activities 10 and 11.
7- Review vocabulary. Dot game for review.

Friday:
1,6,8- listen to a song and write down the different articles they hear. Teach articles worksheet

7-Vocabulary quiz.

This Short Week in Spanish Class: 10/5/09 to 10/9/09


Monday:
1,6,8- Descripciones. ¿Cómo es él/ella? ¿Cómo eres tú? The students will then create their own person and write out descriptions using ser.
7- Speaking and Writing test.


Tuesday:
1,6,8-Power Point. Review descriptions. Ask questions about the people. Activities 4 and 5 page 55 of textbook.

7- introduce clothing and colors. Ask questions using llevar. Speaking activity with a partner. Comic book strip using llevar, clothing, and colors.



Wednesday:
1,6,8-describe a famous person in Spanish. Students will review the vocabulary under personalities. In a group they will have to create a person, describe the person, the clothes, and the personality.


7-Review of stories students wrote for homework. Students will create skits in Spanish about clothing and colors and what they are wearing.



Thursday:

1,6,8- vocabulary quiz.

7-skits


Friday:

NO school!
