This week in Spanish Class: 8/31/09-9/4/09



Monday:
Period 7- New vocabulary in Spanish Chapter 1. Students will review pages 28 and 29 in the textbook. Blue book pages 7 and 9.

Periods 1,6,8 Practice with ser and estar. Review the rules and the acronyms for the words. Review worksheets from Friday.
Activities 9-11 page 36.



Tuesday:
Periods 1,6,8- Review ser and estar rules that we covered the day before. Sing the pronoun songs. Practice saying the conjugations of ser and estar. Students will use Sam and I am to explain the differences between ser and estar and how to use each one.

Period 7-Review new vocabulary words. Students will play the hot cold game with the new vocabulary.


Wednesday:
Periods 1,6,8 Review of ser and estar and pronouns via which cookie activity. Purple book pages 13-15

Period 7-Introduce pronouns. Students will learn both of the pronoun songs to figure out what they mean. We will use the pronoun chart in class. Pronoun practice worksheet .


Thursday:
Periods 1,6,8- Welcome to Disney Land. At each table, there will be some type of review activity. The students will receive a ticket to Disney world in which they will Talley the points within their group and write down something they learned at each station.

Period 7- More practice with pronouns. Review by singing the pronoun song. Go over pronoun activity worksheet as a class. "Pronoun Play" games



Friday:
Periods 1,6,8- Quick review then quiz.

Period 7- CUT IT OUT. Students will be given various magazines and news papers and will find people of things to represent the Spanish pronouns.

Hello and welcome back to another exciting week! I am extremely pleased with the overall test grades! GREAT JOB!



This week in Spanish class: 8/24/09-8/28/09


Monday: Period 1,6,8 Introduce new vocabulary words in Spanish. Students will review pages 28 and 29 in the textbook. Students will answer the comprehension questions. Blue book pages 7 and 9. Period 7-Review vocabulary from last week. Students will review pages 12-13 activities 14-16. Review pages 5 and 6 from last week.

Tuesday: 1,6,8 Review the vocabulary terms learned yesterday. Introduce new vocabulary words. If there is time, students will learn the pronouns. Students will play hot and cold game with the new vocabulary learned in class. Pages 30 and 31. Pages 9 and 10 listening if time. Period 7-Students will also play hot and cold game with days of the week and numbers. Review the frases útiles on pages 14 and 15 in textbook. Page 7 in purple book.

Wednesday:
Periods 1,6,8-Review of pronouns. Practice making sentences with the pronouns, vocabulary words, and ser. Pronouns worksheet practice. Page 33 activities 3-5.
Period7- Students will do the review on pages 18-20 of their textbook. We will go over the answers as a class.

Thursday: Periods 1,6,8-Introducing ser with pronouns. Review the pronouns in Spanish. Incorporate the conjugations of ser. Teach D.O.T.C.O.P and explain how ser in used in Spanish. Read over pages 34 and 35 to get a better understanding of ser, pronouns, and greetings. Begin Pages 14 and 15 in purple book.
Period 7- Jeopardy review game.


Friday: Periods 1,6,8-More review of ser. Review the rules and when it is used. Activities 9-11 page 36. Period 7-Test.

Monday: Periods 1,6,8- Review of ¿De dónde eres/es? and greetings. Begin Activities 8-11 in textbook on page 9.

Period 7- Review of greetings. Begin learning the phrase ¿De dónde eres/es? and practice de donde es song. Work on pages 3 and 4 in purple book.



Tuesday: Periods 1,6,8-Review of days of the week, numbers, and greetings. Listen to numbers song. Read pages 16 and 17 in text book and answer the questions. Begin page 5 and 6 in blue book.

Period 7-Review of ¿De dónde eres/es? Pages 8 and 9 activities 8-11 in textbook.



Wednesday: Periods 1,6,8-Review for Test Etapa Peliminar. Pages 18-20

Period 7- More review of greetings and ¿De dónde eres/es? Skits. Pages 5 and 6 in Purple book.



Thursday: Periods 1,6,8- Language Lab. Review game.

Period 7-Language Lab. Numbers 0-10, Days of the week, greetings. Listening and Speaking practice.



Friday: Periods 1,6,8- Test Etapa Peliminar

Period 7- Pages 5 and 6 in purple book. Page 13 in textbook activities 14-16 with partners. Page 4 and 5 in blue book. If there is time review pages 14 and 15.

Welcome Back to a new year of seventh grade Spanish! I am so happy to see some familiar faces and some new ones as well! I know we are going to have a very exciting year!


This week in Spanish Class:

lunes: Welcome! Getting to know you, classroom procedures, and review of Spanish.


martes: Los Saludos/Greetings. Periods 1,6,8 we will review greetings from the previous year and Pages 1 and 2 in the purple book.

Period 7, we will be learning various greetings in Spanish and Pages 1 and 2 in the blue book.


miercoles: 1,6,8 dialogues in Spanish and Saludos worksheet. Period 7, basic conversations in Spanish and Activity 5 page 5 in textbook. Purple book page 1 and 2.


jueves:More review! Periods 1,6,8 where are you/he/she from? and purple book pages 3 and 4. Period 7, introductions in Spanish and Blue book page 3 and pg. 3 textbook activities 1 and 2.


viernes: Free time review!
