ALMOST TIME FOR SPRING BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!

This week in Spanish class March 29th through April 1st

Monday: Vocabulary and Grammar Quiz. Remember if you do not get the score you want, you have the option to come in for two study sessions to re-learn what you missed and retake the test/quiz for full credit! DON'T miss out on this opportunity!

Tuesday: Review for the TEST on Thursday. Group review in stations! Ask questions if you are confused!

Wednesday: Review game! Jeopardy! Study hard tonight for your test!

Thursday: TEST!!!!!!!!!!!!

Friday: Health Fair and VIDEO!!!!!!!!!

This week in Spanish class: 3/22/10 to 3/26/10

Monday: Review of er/ir/irregular verbs. Activities 12-14 in textbook.

Tuesday: ER/IR verb bowling and competition worksheet.

Wednesday: LMD. More practice with verbs. We will be in the language lab.

Thursday: Finish up bowling. Activities 15-19 in Textbook.

Friday: Vocabulary Bingo. Make sure you are studying for your vocabulary/grammar quiz on Monday. Vocabulary can be found on page 157 and grammar on page 158.

Announcements!

Hello Parents and Students,

We are in need of Wet wipes! Any donations are appreciated! We are also in need of EXPO Markers and Band Aids.

I have CANCELLED the written tests and quizzes. I feel that many of my students study the material to memorize it for the test and then forget it. This is a major problem because the Spanish language builds on itself. We are taking time out to review everything we have learned this year again. I want to make sure that MY students understand everything. My main goal is to help your child succeed! I hope that in doing this ALL my students will master the concepts and end the year with confidence and knowledge of the Spanish language! If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail me. .

Speaking TEST on May 18TH. LAST TEST OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!!! The speaking test will be given in a scenario format. Studnets will need to speak about a topic in Spanish for 45 seconds.

The following concepts will be covered on the SPEAKING test:

Vocabulary words listed on page 159 in the purple book (FIRST Section) Unidad 3 Etapa 1.

Expressing feelings and adjectives using the verb ESTAR

Saying what just happened using ACABAR De.

Saying where someone is coming from using the verb venir.

Saying what someone likes to fo using Gustar + infinitive.

Tuesday: Page 64 in purple book.
Wednesday: Page 62 in purple book. Finish phone messages. Scenario for phone mesage---You are leaving a message for a friend you just wnet out to a concert with. Include what you just did, what you like or do not like about your time out, how you feel about your outing, and where you are coming from. This should be at least a paragraph.
Thursday: Pages 61 and 63 in purple book.
Friday: Have a great Weekend! Study for your speaking test.
